Simon Adler was born sixth of seven children of the couple Moses Adler II and Sara, née Rosa.

Simon and his wife Rosa, née Goldschmidt moved to Fulda on January 1, 1920. The profession registered in the register form was butcher. On May 2, 1920 twins Robert and Martin were born, the third son Manfried Ernst on May 3, 1927. Martin died very early as a child. While the older son Robert succeeded in emigrating to New York on August 19, 1937, the parents moved to Mittelstraße 28 with their younger son in December 1938. From there all three were deported to Riga December 8, 1941. At that time Simon Adler was fifty-nine years old.

The place and date of their death is unknown.
