Mathilde Adler was born third of five children of Anschel Adler III and his wife Sophie, née Berney. “Mathilde Fuchs, née Adler was married to kosher butcher and synagogue's attendant Abraham Fuchs (born December 15, 1885 in Kitzol, district of Lipno in Poland). The couple lived in Schrannenstraße 57 in a little house which was built close to the synagogue. They had two children: Elly (...) and Alfred.”

Elly emigrated to Manchester 1939 and later on, around 1948, to Australia. Alfred who was born on February 6, 1923 in Kitzingen. He was deported to Auschwitz and disappeared there.” At the time of his deportation Alfred prepared for emigration to Palestine. Abraham and Mathilde Fuchs were deported from Kitzingen to Izbica in 1942. There they disappeared without a trace.

Mathilda Fuchs was fifty-five at the time of her deportation.
