Abraham Goldschmidt was born on February 20, 1884, fourth of seven children of the couple Wolf Goldschmidt and his second wife Carolina, née Ring. Twins Markus and Sarah stemmed from their father´s first marriage.

On May 15, 1910 family Goldschmidt moved to Fulda. In the registration form the profession tradesman is recorded. Abraham Goldschmidt married Minna, née Plaut from Nuremberg. Their two sons Heinz and Berthold were born in Fulda 1920 and 1924.

While their children succeeded in emigrating to England, Abraham and Minna Goldschmidt had to move out of their home in Florengasse to an apartment in Heinrichstraße on April 1, 1940. From there, fifty-seven year old Abraham Goldschmidt was deported to Stutthof on December 8, 1941.

On May 8, 1945 the county court pronounced Abraham Goldschmidt dead.
