As far as we know there were forty-one Jewish citizens from Heubach murdered in the Shoah. On May 18, 2006, during a commemoration ceremony, a few days before the former synagogue was inaugurated as a museum and multi-cultural meeting facility, a candle was lit for each of the victims and their names, birth and death dates and biographies were read aloud. At the ceremonys conclusion a delegate from the Fulda Jewish community recited the Kaddish, the Jewish mourners prayer.
The 41 biographies read aloud during the commemoration are displayed in a bound memorial book which is on permanent display in the former synagogue.
Following are the names of all victims with the addresses of the homes where they lived in Heubach.
